Ohio Man Accused of Killing and Dismembering Victim Before Driving Around Toledo With Body Parts in Stolen Work Vehicle

TOLEDO, OHIO — A 33-year-old Toledo man has been arrested after police say he murdered and dismembered a 27-year-old victim, then drove around the city in the victim’s stolen work vehicle while officers were actively searching for him. The disturbing case unfolded earlier this week and has shocked the Toledo community.

Victim Reported Missing; Police Track His Work Vehicle Through the City

The victim, Malicai Calder, was reported missing over the weekend after family and coworkers grew concerned when he failed to appear or communicate.

Toledo police launched a search and visited Calder’s home, where they found unsettling signs: a dog barking inside, a shower running, and a television left on. His work vehicle was also nowhere to be found.
