NEWPORT, Mich. — A 76-year-old Chesterfield, Mich., man died following a two-car crash on I-75 Wednesday afternoon.
Walter L. Wilhelm, 76, was northbound on I-75 in the middle lane when he sideswiped a car in the left lane around 12:10 p.m., according to Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough.
Mr. Wilhelm’s minivan then went off the left edge of the highway and struck the median wall just south of Post Road, where it came to a stop. Carli M. Fuciarelli, 26, of Westland, Mich., the driver of the other car, was able to bring her car to a stop in the median following the accident…
