Toledo metro named 4th best housing market in nation, number 1 in Ohio by Realtor.com

TOLEDO, Ohio — Realtor.com named Toledo its fourth best housing market in its annual report, joining cities in other Midwestern and Northeastern states as the markets with an increase in sales price.

According to the report, the Toledo metro saw a 13.1% increase in the median sale price of existing homes year-over-year. This was the highest increase in the median sale price category out of all 100 largest U.S. metros, according to the report’s data.

And while year-over-year existing home sales were down by 1.2% – the only decrease in that category in Realtor.com’s top 15 metros – the sale price increase was more than enough to put Toledo near the top. The Glass City was only beaten by Hartford, Connecticut; Rochester, New York; and Worcester, Massachusetts…
