Twist in Dee Warner case: Former Lenawee County detective arrested as fugitive ahead of high-profile murder trial

LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. — A former investigator who once worked on the Dee Warner case has been arrested as a fugitive in Ohio while prosecutors are preparing for Dale Warner’s upcoming trial.

Kevin Greca, a retired detective with the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office, was taken into custody late last week by the U.S. Marshals Service in Lucas County after Michigan authorities sought to serve him as a material witness in the Dee Warner murder case.

According to Lucas County Jail records, Greca was picked up by the U.S. Marshals Service under a warrant out of Michigan after allegedly fleeing the state to avoid testifying.
