6th District upholds conviction of Charles Walker in 2022 murder of Toledo teens

TOLEDO, Ohio — The 6th District Court of Appeals has upheld the convictions and life sentence of Charles Walker, rejecting his appeal in the murders of two Toledo teens whose bodies were later found in a burned-out house on Chase Street.

Walker was convicted in May 2024 of the deaths of Kyshawn Pittman and Ke’Marion Wilder, who disappeared on Dec. 3, 2022, after being dropped off at a home on Maumee Avenue. A Lucas County jury found Walker and co-defendant Brent Kohlhofer responsible for abducting the boys and killing them.

In its decision, the appeals court affirmed Walker’s convictions, ruling that the trial court did not commit reversible error and that the evidence presented at trial was sufficient to support the jury’s verdict…
