TOLEDO, Ohio — Overnight warming centers will open in Toledo on Thursday and Friday as overnight temperatures drop, city officials announced.
The city says the emergency warming centers operate overnight and are separate from shelter waitlists. They do not provide beds. Transportation assistance is available by calling 211.
The following overnight warming centers will be open from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.:
- St. Paul’s Methodist Church, 1201 Madison Avenue, serving singles and couples
The city says Cherry Street Mission, located at 1501 Monroe Street, is now offering cots to increase capacity and is open 24 hours a day for adults on a first-come, first-served basis…
