TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The 13 First Alert Weather Team has issued a First Alert Weather Day for Thursday afternoon through Friday morning (Dec. 18- Dec. 19).
WHAT: Wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible late Thursday afternoon and evening, diminishing in the immediate wake of a cold front then rising back near 40 to 45 mph for Friday.
Wind-driven rain showers will add up to 0.5″ or so for many in NW Ohio/SE Michigan, and any leftover moisture on roads, sidewalks, driveways, etc. could flash-freeze for the Friday morning commute. The gusty winds should help evaporate and lower the chance of this freeze, but it could still be a factor for Friday AM…
