A $480,000 state grant will underwrite increased frequency on four TARTA bus routes that takes effect Jan. 25.
The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority’s board of directors approved the upcoming service expansion and changes Thursday afternoon. It includes providing half-hourly, up from hourly, buses on the No. 3 Crosstown, No. 10 Rossford, No. 20 Central Avenue, and No. 31 Glendale Avenue routes during the morning and afternoon peaks.
Nearly every other route in the TARTA system is affected by the service changes, which include discontinuing buses on some lightly used route sections on stretches of Holland-Sylvania Road and Hill, Berdan, and Oakdale avenues.
