Wood County man accused of killing father indicted on additional charges

TOLEDO, Ohio — Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this article stated that Richard Dannenberger’s wife has died, according to the indictment issued by the Wood County Prosecutor’s Office. However, the prosecutor’s office said Thursday night his wife has not died and the indictment needs to be amended.

A Wood County man accused of fatally stabbing his father in September has been indicted on additional charges for a woman and a dog he allegedly attacked on the same night.

Richard Dannenberger, 36, was first indicted in October on two murder charges in the death of his father, Raymond Dannenberger, 66. Wood County Prosecutor Paul Dobson also alleged that Richard strangled his wife and stabbed a dog to death…
