Escaping again: Art museum offers hands-on escape from holiday boredom

Families seeking to fend off holiday cabin fever don’t have to look far for an escape — a Great Glass Art Escape, that is.

The Toledo Museum of Art will host its fan-favorite, winter-themed event on Saturday and Sunday, inviting families to create their own festive art while experiencing the museum’s offerings. This year, the event will be held at the museum’s Glass Pavilion from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Grace Toth, the museum’s director of education, said the free event will have something for the entire family. Local musicians, movie screenings, holiday storytimes led by the library, and glass-blowing demonstrations are all on the schedule…
