BOWLING GREEN — The Northwestern Water and Sewer District has announced a slight increase to rates for 2026.
The organization’s board of trustees approved both operating and capital budgets, which include a very small rate adjustment, officials said. Beginning Jan. 1, the average residential customer will see an increase of about $1.45 per month — approximately 35 cents for water and $1.10 for sewer.
“This is one of the lowest rate increases in several years,” said district board Chairman Douglas Miller. “Even with rising costs for chemicals, services, insurance, repair, and labor we were able to keep this rate change minimal thanks to an increase in water use in 2025 from new development.”…
