Man indicted on multiple felony charges, accused of leading Toledo police on chase in U-Haul van

LUCAS COUNTY, Ohio — A man accused of leading Toledo police on a lengthy chase while driving a U-Haul truck has been indicted by a Lucas County grand jury on multiple felony charges.

Rodney Coley, 35, was indicted Tuesday on charges of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony; failure to stop after an accident, a first-degree felony; two counts of vandalism, fourth- and fifth-degree felonies; and obstructing official business, a fifth-degree felony.

The charges stem from an incident on Dec. 10 that began when officers were called to the 3200 block of Northwood Avenue after Lucas County dispatch received a report that an adult man was being held against his will at gunpoint.
