Several years after building it, the Toledo Zoo has put its new parking lot and secondary entrance on the former Jennison Wright factory site to use for extra capacity during is annual Lights Before Christmas display.
Designated by the zoo as the Llama Lane lot, its use is determined on a day-to-day basis based on the number of advance reservations for the holiday lights exhibit and the availability of zoo staff to direct traffic, zoo spokesman Jennifer Brassil said Tuesday afternoon.
But while there is no booth at its entrance for the collection of the zoo’s $11 parking charge, zoo visitors shouldn’t expect parking at Llama Lane to be free unless they are zoo members.
