A man whose wife allegedly ordered the kidnapping and severe beating of a member of their polyamorous family received a 16-year prison term Tuesday from a Lucas County judge for his role in the matter.
“It really does sound like some kind of horror movie,” Common Pleas Judge Lori Olender said to describe the details she had reviewed in the presentence investigation for Michael Esqueda, 29, who had pleaded guilty Oct. 16 to first-degree kidnapping and two counts of second-degree felonious assault.
