So we’ve come to the end of 2025 and what a year it was again in the great outdoors on land and water.
By far what probably are the the biggest stories would be the two seiches on Lake Erie. The first notable one occurred as the Fall Brawl was winding down during the last week of November. The second one just came blowing through this past Sunday.
These seiches happen when strong winds force water out of the lake’s western basin and into the eastern section as part of a standing wave that surges back and forth in an oscillating effect as in a bathtub. In both cases the winds were well over 55 mph…
