TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A patient’s fall at a Lucas County hospital will go before the high court this week.
A woman claims she was hurt after falling from her bed at Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center in December 2020 due to staff negligence. She sued the hospital, but not individual employees before the statute of limitations expired.
The key question is whether the hospital can be held responsible if individual employees weren’t sued in time. A lower appeals court said yes, but St. Vincent disagrees…
