MONROE — The newly elected chairman of the Monroe County commissioners has vowed to make sure that an ongoing investigation by an independent counsel into a former commissioner is concluded in a timely manner.
“Rest assured, this investigation will come to a completion, and we will find out what we need to find out so we can move this county forward,” county Commissioner and Chairman Dave Vensel said of former District 2 county commissioner Mark Brant’s months-old case.
