Dozens of animals removed from Bedford Township rescue amid neglect investigation

BEDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Dozens of animals were removed Wednesday morning from a Bedford Township property operating as an animal rescue as part of an ongoing investigation into possible neglect.

Battle Creek Police Department and animal control officers executed a search warrant at a property on Woodside Drive after receiving a tip that raised concerns about animal care.

According to officials, approximately 28 dogs and 14 cats were voluntarily surrendered from the property. Two horses and one cat belonging to the property owner were also seized…
