GIBSONBURG – After a potential buyer backed out of purchasing Kirwen’s Supermarket the family that had owned the business for 103 years informed the community that they were closing, but love for the local business seems to be shining and there is renewed interest in a possible purchase.
On Jan. 4, the Kirwen family decided to post a closure notice on Facebook. That’s when the calls started coming in to the family and the village.
