Charge dismissed, no foul play suspected in death of woman found in tractor-trailer

Bond was set at $500,000 for a Texas man accused of beating his wife, who subsequently died.

Toledo police arrested James A. Miller, 61, of Abilene, Texas, on Wednesday on a charge of second-degree felonious assault. He was booked into the Lucas County jail and arraigned Thursday before Toledo Municipal Court Judge Joseph Howe.

Police were called to a truck stop in the 800 block of Matzinger Road just before 11 a.m. after Mr. Miller walked into the gas station and told the clerk he could not wake his wife. When emergency crews arrived, they found his 59-year-old wife dead in the cab of his tractor-trailer…
