Fremont protesters call Minnesota ICE killing a tipping point

FREMONT – More than 50 people attended a rally against ICE in Fremont, Ohio Jan. 9 in response to the killing of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis, Minnesota by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer Jan. 7.

With drivers honking their horns in support and other vehicles squealing their tires in opposition, protesters carried signs that read “Stop ICE terror USA: Renee Good,” “Stop ICE Terror,” and “No More Lies.” Protesters considered the killing a part of a broader pattern of abuse carried out by federal agencies.

People for Peace and Justice Sandusky County organized the rally and collaborated with the local 50501 chapter. Josie Setzler, speaking on behalf of the group, said that they put the event together in a single day…
