TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The First Alert Weather Team has issued a FAWD for this morning due to strong winds developing between 8am and noon. Wind gusts are expected to quickly ramp up with gusts around 50 mph across the entire area. The wind speeds will drop quickly late afternoon into the evening hours.
The high winds during mid to late morning will create a strong cross wind on those north/south highways such as I-75 especially for large profile vehicles. Loose items such as trash cans can easily get push around by today’s strong winds.
Along with the strong winds, showers are also likely this morning. Temperatures will start off at record highs in the low 60s before tumbling into the low 40s with a wind chill near 30 by late afternoon…
