TOLEDO, Ohio — At the Sunset Carryout in west Toledo’s Five Points neighborhood, customers make a quick stop for beer, snacks, or maybe milk on their way home.

Lucy is the store’s resident cat; Toledo’s own bodega cat, if you will.
She’s a full-time store employee who has quietly become part of the fabric of the corner carryout at Detroit Avenue and Sunset Boulevard. She is even getting some attention on TikTok…
