TOLEDO, Ohio — 11 Investigates has obtained a list of 68 potential witnesses that could be called in the murder trial of Dale Warner, set to start on Jan. 27 in Lenawee County and last several weeks.
Warner is charged with murder and tampering with evidence in the death of his wife, Dee Warner. Dee had been missing since April 2021, and her disappearance drew significant local attention. Her remains were discovered in August 2024 inside a resealed anhydrous fertilizer tank on property owned by her husband. Authorities later ruled her death a homicide.
In a filing dated Dec. 29, 2025, Warner’s attorney Mary Chartier lists 20 potential witnesses, including “any witness listed by the government on the government’s witness list, any and all fact and expert witnesses needed to rebut the government’s allegations and any record custodian necessary for records disclosed by the government.”…
