University of Toledo falcon recovering after wing injury; future uncertain

The future of an injured University of Toledo nesting peregrine falcon rescued last week in central Toledo is still up in the air.

Suffering from a bone fracture and tissue rupture in the left wing, Mary Ann has been stabilized and has a 50-50 chance of regaining full mobility, a prerequisite for release back into the wild, according to Waterville’s Nature’s Nursery, a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation facility.
