TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department (TLCHD) has confirmed two flu-related pediatric deaths in Lucas County, according to a press release.
On Wednesday, TLCHD said a child under the age of six and a teenager under the age of 18 in Lucas County have died.
“Our hearts are with the families who are grieving the loss of their children,” said Health Commissioner Karim Baroudi. “Influenza is a serious illness that can lead to severe complications, especially in children. We want families to know that precautions, vaccination, and early care are critical tools in reducing risk.”…
