The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a coloring contest for children ages 4 to 12.
The contest features dog-themed coloring sheets designed to encourage conversations about the proper care of animals, according to a community announcement. As children color, adults are encouraged to discuss the importance of providing clean water, healthy food, exercise and training for pets. These activities aim to foster empathy, kindness and a sense of responsibility toward all living beings.
Participants can print the coloring sheet or pick one up at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Records Division, 100 E. Second St., Monroe. Completed entries must be submitted in person or by mail by the contest deadline of Feb. 28…
