TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Road crews are still working to clean up leftover snow on some roads, especially where there’s been blowing and drifting. They want to remove that lingering hard-packed layer before the next round arrives.
“We have our plows really actually scraping off any of those remaining areas. A lot of the places that we see any snow left on the roadway, explained Kelsie Hoagland, ODOT District 2 public information officer. ”Our goal right now is to make the roadway dry, so that when snowfall does begin, we can combat it a little easier and have a clean slate to start with.”
Crews across the state are gathering materials and making brine in preparation for the upcoming snow event. And given the extreme cold that’ll come with the snow, special solutions are needed…
