The suspect in a home invasion and assault incident is on the run, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
On Saturday, Jan. 24, at 4:11 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 12300 block of Townsend Road in London Township. The occupants had called 911 to report someone forced entry into their residence and stabbed one of them. It was also reported that the suspect fled the scene shortly after the assault.
Deputies arrived on the scene and found a 28-year-old woman with several puncture wounds and cuts on her body. The Milan Police Department, Michigan State Police, Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office, and Dundee police all responded to canvass the area for the suspect, but they were unable to locate them.
