Man who posed as student at Ohio high school sentenced to prison

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 24-year-old man who posed as a student at a Northwest Ohio high school has been sentenced to two years in prison.

Anthony Emmanuel Labrador-Sierra, a Venezuelan citizen who was in the U.S. illegally, claimed to be 16-year-old Anthony Labrador when he enrolled at Perrysburg High School in January 2024. He had an Ohio driver’s license and a Social Security number, and was enrolled as an unaccompanied minor who had been given temporary protected status.

He was sentenced in U.S. Federal Court in Cleveland on charges of possession of a firearm by an alien unlawfully in the U.S., making a false statement during the purchase of a firearm, and making or using false writings or documents, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Northern Ohio…
