Monroe woman arrested following incident at CVS

A woman suspected of retail fraud was arrested and her child turned over to family after methamphetamine was found in her car, according to the Monroe Public Safety Department.

On Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m., Monroe police officers responded to a report of retail fraud at the CVS Pharmacy at 919 South Monroe St. An employee described a woman who was allegedly stealing items from the store, as well as someone waiting in her vehicle.

In the store, officers found a 41-year-old woman from Monroe who had over $500 worth of stolen merchandise from CVS, as well as a syringe and methamphetamine, according to police. Waiting in the vehicle outside, police found her juvenile daughter. They also found more methamphetamine, a meth pipe, and multiple bags of suspected stolen merchandise from other stores…
