Fresenius Medical Care is permanently eliminating 54 jobs at its distribution center in Oregon, shifting some of its logistics to Ryder.
In a notice to state and local officials, Fresenius USA Manufacturing said it had “decided to divest certain logistics business” from the facility. The employees, which include drivers and clerks, will be terminated on April 10.
The facility is located on Blue Heron Drive, near Corduroy Road. Layoffs “will not result in the closure of the distribution center, but rather is an elimination of a line of business,” the notice said…
