Over the past few weeks, following our most severe winter storm since 2022, my office has been flooded with inspiring stories of Toledoans going above and beyond to help their neighbors. Heroism isn’t always found in grand gestures, but when individuals step up in everyday moments.
In South Toledo, a 78-year-old neighbor recovering from open-heart surgery reached out to honor his neighbor for keeping his driveway clear, ensuring he could safely get in and out of his home for appointments.
In West Toledo, an unknown citizen took it upon himself to clear neighborhood streets and driveways with his personal truck, simply because he could.…
