Axis Restaurant & Bar, located inside the Delta by Marriott hotel on the University of Toledo medical campus, is a strange place.

The restaurant entrance was locked when we went during breakfast hours, making us enter through the hotel door. The website has a lunch menu, although it is closed during lunch hours. The menus differ quite dramatically from what the online menus say, in some cases jumping $5 or more to a price point I would say is probably higher than the food warrants.
There also may or may not be a Sunday brunch — there’s a landing page for it on the website, but it’s hard to find and the hours it supposedly runs are not hours Axis is listed as open. And speaking of those hours, there is a discrepancy between what is listed online and what is listed at the restaurant, so perhaps calling ahead would be a good idea.
But ignoring all that, the food tastes pretty good. Perhaps a bit lukewarm in some cases, but good…
