High school graduate who overcame homelessness surprised with a new car

ROSSFORD, Ohio (WTVG/Gray News) – An Ohio high school graduate was gifted a new car after navigating homelessness, depression and caring for his younger brother while completing his education.

Daron Webb, a Waite High School graduate, got the surprise of his life when he was gifted a new car. He had been walking more than a mile to get to work at an electrical company, often in the early morning hours regardless of weather conditions.

“Man, I don’t even know what I’m feeling right now… It’s just I don’t even, haven’t had time to process everything ‘cause I did not expect it,” Webb said.

Though seemingly at a loss for words, he did add that having a car will make his life easier…
