Toledo Edison customers to see rate decrease under PUCO order

COLUMBUS — A residential Toledo Edison customer using 1,000 kilowatt-hours per month is expected to see an approximately $3.75 reduction in their monthly electric bill following an order from the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio on Wednesday.

The exact amount of the reduction on Toledo Edison customers’ bills won’t be known until the utility files the required paperwork, which is due Tuesday, PUCO spokesman Matt Schilling said. The new rates will be effective March 1.
