Man accused of murdering neighbor indicted Thursday

TOLEDO, Ohio — A Toledo man was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury Thursday for the alleged killing of a 63-year-old south Toledo woman.

According to court records, Bryan Laas, 60, was indicted on multiple felony charges in connection with the homicide of Julie Miller. Miller was found dead in her apartment in the 2000 block of Arlington Avenue in mid-February.

In a Toledo police affidavit, police said Laas allegedly entered Miller’s residence and struck her in the head multiple times, leading to her death. Police claimed Laas admitted to having done this in a recorded interview…
