TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – They say every dog has its day and a new space in Toledo is helping create all kinds of fun on land and in the water for our canine friends.
It’s called Canninballz. It’s described as a year-round indoor waterpark, doggy daycare and luxury bath spa all under one roof. Millie Hopes, the owner, is a retired federal law enforcement officer. The business was inspired by her own dog’s love of the water.
“I think dogs should be able to swim year-round. So I came up with this crazy idea. It’s for fun and recreation, wellness, swimming is great therapy for dogs and daycare is great for socialization,” Hopes said. “It reduces stress and helps curb behavioral issues. I wanted to have my own business and I love dogs, so I merged.”…
