Judge denies prosecution’s request to give jurors transcript during enhanced body cam audio in Dale Warner trial

ADRIAN, Mich. — Jurors in the murder trial of Dale Warner will not be allowed to read along with a transcript while listening to enhanced body camera audio after a judge denied a request by the prosecution seeking to provide them with a written copy of the conversation.

The issue centers on body camera footage recorded by lead investigator Detective Kevin Greca. At one point in the recording, Greca removed his body camera and placed it inside a vehicle, capturing a muffled conversation outside involving Dale Warner’s son, Jaron Warner.

Prosecutors introduced an enhanced version of that audio as People’s Exhibit 231. The prosecution asked that jurors be given a transcript of the conversation while listening to the enhanced recording. The judge denied that request.
