Bank robbery leads to high-speed chase in Ottawa County

OTTAWA COUNTY, Ohio — A Genoa man is facing several charges after allegedly robbing a bank and then leading police on a high-speed chase.

On Friday afternoon, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office dispatch received a report of a “Hold-Up” alarm from the Genoa bank in Ottawa County, Ohio.

As Deputies were responding to the bank, a call was received by the Sheriff’s Office Dispatch from a bank employee that they had been robbed and that the suspect had left. The witness said that the suspect asked for money via note and indicated that he had a weapon. The witness was also able to provide the identity of the suspect, along with a description of his vehicle and the direction he fled in.
