Toledo’s Inverness Club selected to host 145th U.S. Open

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The U.S. Open is set to return to Toledo in what Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz is calling one of the biggest wins for the city in years.

Toledo’s own Inverness Club is slated to host the U.S. Open in 2045.

Kapszukiewicz said in a statement that he’s in New York City on Saturday for the announcement. He said the economic impact for the region when the biggest event in golf comes to Toledo is staggering, but he’s most excited for what this decision says about the city…
