The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an injury crash involving a juvenile. The crash was reported on Sunday (March 1) at approximately 1:41 p.m., at the intersection of Fostoria Road and Genoa Road, in Lake Township, Wood County.
The preliminary investigation showed that a Chevrolet Silverado, operated by Eddie Hernandez, 75, of Port Clinton, was traveling west on Genoa Road. A Dodge Ram, operated by a juvenile, of Walbridge, was traveling south on Fostoria Road. The Ram failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by the Silverado.
Hernandez sustained minor injuries. Cheryl Smith, 59, of Port Clinton, a front seat passenger of the Silverado, sustained significant but non-life-threatening injuries. Both occupants of the Silverado were transported to St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo…
