TOLEDO, Ohio — Police arrested an 18-year-old on Tuesday for allegedly assaulting a fellow student at a school in downtown Toledo the day before, causing him to be hospitalized for his injuries.
Keyvoin Butler was arrested on one count of felonious assault for the incident, which happened at Westfield Achievement on Jefferson Avenue just before 9 a.m. on Monday. Butler and a 16-year-old ran after they both assaulted the student, a 17-year-old, when the three were dismissed from class, according to a police report. It is not clear at this time if the 16-year-old has been taken into custody.
According to an affidavit filed in Toledo Municipal Court on Tuesday, Butler punched and kicked the victim “repeatedly about the head and body, causing the victim to lose consciousness and suffer lacerations, hematomas and contusions to his face and head.”…
