Police force entry into Vibe Lounge following vehicle pursuit, 911 call

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police forced their way into an area business Tuesday morning after a 911 caller reported hearing shots fired and people screaming at the location.

Police said in a report they pursued a vehicle at roughly 2 a.m. on Airport Highway, but lost sight of it – later discovering the automobile disabled in front of Vibe Louge in the 700 block of South Reynolds Road. Officers were then notified of a 911 caller who reported she was hiding in the lounge and, “that she believed shots were fired and people were running from the location.”

Officers attempted to enter the business, but found the doors locked. They then forced their way inside, the report shows, but didn’t discover anyone injured…
