ADRIAN — With the murder case against Dale Warner resolved pending a likely appeal, a hearing is scheduled later this month to determine the next step in a wrongful-death lawsuit his wife’s relatives filed last year.
Todd Flood, the managing partner of Detroit-based Flood Law, said a motion for summary disposition of the civil case will soon be filed on the grounds that Dale Warner’s responsibility for Dee Ann Warner’s death has been established.
“There’s no issue for a jury to decide,” Mr. Flood said after Warner, 57, was convicted March 10 of second-degree murder and tampering with evidence by a Lenawee County jury. “It’s not going to take much to satisfy the summary disposition because he was convicted of murder.”…
