Lucas County economic development director resigns for new role at Greater Toledo Community Foundation

TOLEDO, Ohio — The leader of Lucas County’s economic development efforts announced Wednesday that he is resigning.

Matt Heyrman, who serves as deputy county administrator and chief of planning and development, submitted his formal resignation to the county on Wednesday. While his resignation is effective May 2, his last day in the office will be April 10.

In a letter to County Administrator Jessica Ford, Heyrman said the decision follows an opportunity to serve in a leadership position with another local organization. He noted that it has been a privilege to work on complex and impactful issues affecting the future of the community…
