Nationwide Children’s Hospital – Toledo plans over $100M expansion with two new pediatric facilities

TOLEDO, Ohio — Nationwide Children’s Hospital – Toledo announced plans Thursday to invest between $100 million and $150 million over the next five years to expand pediatric care in northwest Ohio, including building two new medical facilities.

The hospital said the planned facilities will offer a range of outpatient pediatric services, including diagnostic testing, therapy services, behavioral health programs and space for primary and specialty care. Officials said the expansion will help families receive more care locally instead of traveling outside the region.

“This investment strengthens our ongoing commitment to expanding local access to care for Toledo’s children, working collaboratively with other area providers and health care organizations,” Rick Miller, President of Nationwide Children’s – Toledo, said. “It also represents an important economic opportunity for the northwest Ohio region.”…
