Quarter-sized hail fell in southern Michigan. See photos, sizes

Southern Michigan saw quarter-sized hail Thursday evening, March 26, after a band of storms rolled in prompting severe thunderstorm warnings.

Hail up to an inch in diameter was reported in the southeast region of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula — in Luna Pier, Lambertville and Ottawa Lake, according to the National Weather Service’s local storm reports.

Michigan Storm Chasers posted photos on its Facebook account of the large hail shared by local residents.
