Baby giraffe Eugene was born to his mom Lily at the Toledo Zoo in January 2026. Like most babies, he’s full of energy and personality, and it’s been so fun to watch him explore his world and make new friends. And also, like a typical little one, he has his wild moments, something you’ll definitely see in this video that the zoo shared in mid-March.
Recorded one morning inside the giraffes’ indoor enclosure, Mom Lily is just trying to wake up and ease into the day, but Eugene is already bursting with energy and kicks things off with some early-morning zoomies.
