I-TEAM: Ad revenue on flier featuring Whitmer High School did not benefit school

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Many local business owners and a school district are scratching their heads. Recently, businesses bought ad space believing those dollars would benefit Whitmer High School students. It turns out the ad fliers went right into the trash.

The fliers were not the idea of the school. The pitch came from a third-party company and they were supposed to be seen by thousands of students and their families. At least one business owner thinks he was scammed.
